About Us:

Hawkes Bay Eggs is a family owned and operated egg production poultry farm in Hastings, Hawkes Bay.

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, 'Jack (or Jane) of all trades' who enjoys working as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

As above we are primarily seeking a 'Jack of all trades' someone who may be mechanically and/or engineering-minded person. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for maintenance and repairs of farm & poultry equipment and support new installations of systems and machinery.

This job requires you to be physically fit and willing to undertake a variety of different tasks which may include the following:

• Livestock management (experience is not essential. Having a genuine concern for animal welfare is required)
• Grading (Daily egg collection)
• Farm maintenance and cleaning

Requirements:

• Physical Fitness - Ability to perform physical labor as this job requires heavy lifting, extended amounts of time on your feet and periods of handling livestock
• Reliability: Strong work ethic and punctuality
• Attention to detail: Keen attention to detail and ability to follow instruction
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with farm equipment, machinery and automated systems
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm (flexible finish time). May be required to work public holidays and/or rostered weekends (7am - 12pm)
